Network Engineer

Key Roles and Responsibilities:

  • The Engineer will have an advanced knowledge and diverse skills in Service Provider technologies & multiple vendors (Cisco and Juniper).
  • He/She will perform programatic requirements gathering of existing services to automate and orchestrate them.
  • Translate customer’s requirements into software specifications that can be understood by a developer.
  • Develop and document test plans to test the automated services.
  • Test and validate the software against the specification and test plan.
  • Report and follow-up bugs to with the software development
  • This position will require intensive team work and collaboration to work closely with the rest of the project team, including Architects, Project Manager, Network Engineers, and Developers.
  • Possess a broad and thorough technical understanding and have experience in designing, configuring, implementing & testing, troubleshooting and supporting Service Provider network environments that consist of multi-vendor Routers.
  • Hands-on experience designing and configuring various routing protocols and technologies such as BGP, IS-IS, MPLS, L3VPN, QoS, IPSec
  • Hands on experience with complex configurations and designs.


  • Degree in (Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, and Technology), or Master’s Degree
  • Seven or more years of experience in technology disciplines.
  • Vendor certification – For IP Networks, engineers must have at least a Cisco CCNP/CCDP/CCDA or equivalent practical knowledge, and/or higher level certification preferred such as CCIE
  • In-depth Juniper & Cisco knowledge with MPLS network architecture and design disciplines, operational support familiarity, previous and current extensive hands-on implementation, and thorough configuration knowledge and capabilities for all platform levels.
  • Very strong customer interfacing background, as well as superior oral and written communication skills.
  • In depth knowledge of all routing protocols (For example: BGP, EIGRP, OSPF, GLBP, VRF), Traffic engineering, L2/L3 VPN, multicast & class of service.
  • Strong understanding and familiarity with Router technologies.
  • Disciplined and oriented in practice of and adherence to process and procedures.
  • Spanish Language is good to have.
